Episode 014 - Metropolis (1927) 01/14/2018 Today’s movie is “Metropolis” (1927), Fritz Lang’s groundbreaking science-fiction epic. In particular, the 2010 restoration which features an extra 25 minutes of footage cut after its initial release, and thought lost forever. The footage was found in Buenos Aires in 2008, then restored in Germany until this particular restoration was viewed at the Berlin International Film Festival, with a modern recording of the original score. If you haven’t seen this version, I highly recommend it. For
